(Gallery Tour Continued...)

After a short walk we arrived at Gasworks...

They were showing 'A Long Time Between Suns'. A two-venue solo exhibition by The Otolith Group. We were told the 'environment' was designed by a fellow named Will Holder.

And last, but certainly not least (because this is the one where we got to play in the screen and make silhouettes) was the South London Gallery. Here we saw a screening of 'Flooded McDonald's' by Superflex.

Our South London Gallery Tour (Week 1)

During week 1 of the project, we went on a little journey in search of galleries and spaces around south London.

(...of course I've only just got to uploading the pictures onto the blog now)

We began in Kennington at the Danielle Arnaud Contemporary Art Gallery. They didn't have an exhibition going on at the time we went but we asked if we could look at the space and the nice lady with the chihuahua obliged =)

Next up (and just around the corner actually) was Corvi-Mora, and Greengrassi.
Strangely enough, these two are different galleries, but they share the same building.

Greengrassi is a tiny little space at the top of many stairs. When we visited they were showing the work of Jenifer Pastor (whose work you can see below).

In contrast to this little room, downstairs, was Corvi-Mora, that featured the work of Richard Hawkins:
